The Green River Workforce Investment Board has identified six industry sectors as high demand occupations. These sectors include: Energy; Advanced Manufacturing; Health Care / Social Assistance; Transportation, Distribution, Logistics; Finance / Insurance; and Professional, Scientific, and Technical.
Sector strategies are regional, industry-focused approaches to building skilled workforces that result in job opportunities for all workers across a range of industries.
Sector strategies result in education and training investments that are directly responsive to specific needs of employers in our region. Because they bring workforce development, economic development, higher education, and other partners together, sector strategies result in more efficient use of precious public resources.
