GRADD’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides one-on-one assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other public and private insurance. Trained benefits counselors are available in all seven counties GRADD serves. Counselors can provide:

  • Help with organizing paperwork, medical bills, prescription assistance, etc.
  • Comparisons with Long Term Care, Medigap, and Medicare Part D Policies
  • Assistance with making application for Food Stamps, prescription assistance programs, Medicare’s Extra Help, and other income-based benefits
  • Referrals to appropriate agencies to help the individual receive the assistance needed
